Samsung launches a lot of mid-range and high-end smartphones, including the S-series, Z-series, and A-series. The company is now preparing to announce a new entry-level device, the Galaxy A05. While there are no official announcements about the phone, the leaks and rumors show that the upcoming device won’t have the key 5G support, and it will be the cheapest Samsung phone this year. Here are the details about the Samsung Galaxy A05…
Samsung Galaxy A05 specs appeared on Geekbench
We know that expected smartphones appear on Geekbench just before they are launched. It happened the same for Samsung‘s upcoming cheapest smartphone. According to the reports by a tipster, Galaxy A05 comes with model number SM-A055F, and it has appeared in Geekbench’s database. The smartphone has significant specs and a 4G-limited chipset.
When we look at the Geekbench database, we can see that the expected Galaxy A05 is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 processor (MT6769V) and it has 4GB of RAM. With its chipset, A05 will offer an improved performance with 12nm chip with two Cortex-A75 CPU cores and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores.
However, the chipset doesn’t support the 5G feature, it is a 4G LTE-only chipset, which means Samsung Galaxy A05 will not have 5G connectivity. It will be one of the most affordable smartphones from Samsung, and it won’t have 5G support like the Galaxy A04 and the Galaxy A04s.
The Galaxy A05 will run Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 (or newer) out of the box, and it will have Bluetooth 5.3 support. According to the rumors, Samsung will launch the expected device sometime in Q3 of this year because the company unveiled Galaxy A05’s predecessor in August last year.
